Rock in Rio’s Organization is proud to announce a performance by Maroon 5 at the World Stage on June 1st.
Recognized as one of the biggest bands in music today, this show will mark Maroon 5’s first performance in Portugal.

The 3-time GRAMMY Award winning band will perform hits from their platinum smash album Hands All Over. Tickets for Rock in Rio are set to go on sale Friday, December 16th. The band’s set will also feature fan favorites such as “Harder To Breathe”, “This Love”, “Sunday Morning” and “Makes Me Wonder.” Maroon 5 will also perform their worldwide smash hit “Moves Like Jagger.” Most recently, the song was nominated for a GRAMMY Award for “Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.”

Adam Levine Pakai Kaos ''Damn! I Love Indonesia''

Vokalis Maroon 5, Adam Levine, tampil enerjik di konser hari pertamanya di Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Kamis, 4 Oktober 2012. Ia menyanyikan 10 lagu tanpa henti di awal konser. Diawali Payphone, kemudian menyusul lagu lainnya seperti Makes Me Wonder, Lucky Strike, Wipe Your Eyes, dan Wake Up Call.

Usai menyanyi lagu ke-10 berjudul One More Night, Levine berhenti sejenak. Sekitar pukul 09.50 WIB, ia sedikit bercakap-cakap dengan ribuan penonton yang memenuhi gedung Istora berkapasitas 8.000 orang itu.

Saat itulah salah seorang penonton yang tepat berada di depan panggung melempar sesuatu ke tengah panggung dan jatuh tepat di kaki sang vokalis. Levine langsung mengambil dan membuka gulungan benda itu. Ternyata sebuah kaos putih bertuliskan "Damn! I Love Indonesia".

Tanpa banyak cakap, Levine langsung mengenakan kaos itu menutupi kaos biru tuanya yang telah basah oleh keringat. Penonton, terutama perempuan, menjerit melihat sang idola mengenakan kaos bertuliskan Indonesia itu. Apalagi, saat ia menggulung lengan kaos tersebut, terdengar jeritan dari berbagai arah.

Jadilah selama separuh pertunjukannya hingga selesai, Levine mengenakan kaos tersebut. "Terima kasih hadiahnya," ujar pria berusia 33 tahun itu sambil tersenyum manis.

Sebelumnya, saat menyanyikan lagu keempat, Sunday Morning, Levine juga menerima sebuah syal dari penonton di sisi kanan panggung. Ia langsung melilitkan syal berwarna coklat itu di tiang mikrofon yang dipakainya untuk bernyanyi.

Konser hari pertama, Adam Levine cs sukses menyanyikan 19 lagu. Konser semakin ciamik karena Levine unjuk kebolehannya bermain gitar dan drum di beberapa lagu yang ia nyanyikan. Contohnya saat membawakan lagu Wake Up Call, Levine mengambil gitarnya yang berwarna merah dan memamerkan kemampuannya bermain gitar. Penonton, terutama fans perempuan, pun  langsung menjerit histeris.

"Terima kasih Jakarta. Kami akan kembali besok," kata Levine menutup konser usai menyanyikan lagu Moves Like Jagger.

Konser Maroon 5 semalam adalah konser hari pertama. Meski diguyur hujan, gedung Istora tampak penuh. Hanya terlihat beberapa bangku kosong di bagian atas sisi kiri panggung.

Mereka masih akan memanaskan Istora Senayan malam ini, Jumat, 5 Oktober 2012. Diperkirakan konsepnya masih sama. Konser akan dimulai dengan penampilan band rock alternatif, The Cab, dari Amerika Serikat sekitar pukul 20.00 WIB.

Adam Noah Levine (born March 18, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is the frontman for the pop rock band Maroon 5. Born in Los Angeles, California to Jewish parents Patsy Noah and Fred Levine, he has one brother, Michael; a stepsister, Julia; and two half siblings, Sam and Lisa. When Levine was seven, he made the winning shot of his local YMCA championship basketball game (on a team his father coached) with seconds left on the clock. He has said that the incident changed his life, gave him the confidence to be successful, and turned him "into an optimist...and a bit of a cocky son of a bitch. I am not sure what this anecdote has anything to do with my musical career. Just one of those things you've got to get out of you. There will be more of this. Keep your ears open, America." Levine attended Frenchwoods Festival of the Performing Arts Camp (Hancock, NY), where he met the original members of the band Kara's Flowers: Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick. He attended Brentwood School in Los Angeles as part of the class of 1997.
As a young person, Levine was a reluctant frontman with "terrible acne." When Levine first began performing he was so shy, he would put his back to the audience. The first time Levine performed was at The Troubadour when he was twelve years old; he was the guitarist for the band Blurred Vision and he sang "Rockin' Robin" as the last song of the set.
Levine first became friends with John Ondrasik from Five For Fighting, who played clarinet in Regis High School Orchestra, while playing together at the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts. It was from John Ondrasik that Levine learned the high-pitched vocal style which he would use later in his career. Levine, Madden, Ondrasik and Carmichael played their first show together as Edible Nuns at their Jr. High dance, playing cover versions of nineties favorites such as Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains.
As the trio progressed through high school, the drummer left the band. He was replaced by Amy Wood, a friend of one of the current members. She would soon leave the band and again the group was a drummer short, leaving a window of opportunity open for Levine. He would reconnect with Ryan Dusick, who completed the band on drums. He married Sampurna Deebay.
Levine's tattoos consist of triple 2's on his forearm. This signifies the room number of the first studio Maroon 5 recorded in. The paw print is for Frankie, the shark represents his nickname, the city name of Los Angeles his home town on his shoulder. He has a guitar on his forearm, a large tiger on his other. The "x" is the roman numeral for ten which he and jesse got together when SAJ hit platinum it was also their ten year anniversary as a band. The dove and cherry blossoms was something he had done in remembrance of 9/11.

All About Maroon 5

Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California.^[1][2][3] While they were in high school, lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Levine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bass guitarist Mickey Madden, and drummer Ryan Dusick formed a garage band called Kara's Flowers and released one album in 1997. After a brief period they re-formed with guitarist James Valentine, and pursued a new, more pop-oriented direction as Maroon 5. In 2002 they released their debut album Songs About Jane, which contained four hit singles: "Harder to Breathe", "This Love", "She Will Be Loved" and "Sunday Morning"; it also enjoyed major chart success, going gold, platinum, and triple platinum in many countries around the world.^[4]
In support of Songs About Jane, Maroon 5 toured extensively throughout 2003–2005 and during that period of time two live albums were released. The band performed live in two tours between June and November 2007. During that time a compilation of previously unreleased songs, The B-Side Collection, were released.

Two more live albums and a remix album were issued in 2008. Maroon 5's third studio album Hands All Over was released in the United States on September 21, 2010. Since debuting in 2002, the band has sold over 10 million albums in the United States.
Maroon 5's biggest hit yet is "Moves Like Jagger" featuring Christina Aguilera, selling over 8 million copies worldwide as of June 2012, therefore establishing itself among the best-selling singles of all time.^[5]
On March 26, 2012, Maroon 5 announced their fourth studio album, Overexposed. It was released on June 26, 2012.^[6] The lead single "Payphone", which features rapper Wiz Khalifa, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually rose to number two on the chart. The second single from the album, "One More Night", became the band's third number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. On 26 August 2012, during their Overexposed Tour in South America, Maroon 5 performed in front of 30.000 people at Arena Anhembi, São Paulo, Brazil, which according to Levine has become their biggest paying public to an exclusive concert of the band to date.

Goyang Bareng Adam Levine di Konser Maroon 5 Hari Kedua

Vokalis Maroon 5, Adam Levine tidak tampak kehilangan staminanya di konser bersama bandnya di Jakarta, Jumat (5/10/2012). Di konser hari kedua ini, Adam tetap semangat mengajak penonton menyanyi dan bergoyang bersama.

Vokalis tampan ini memang dikenal suka berjoget. Dalam beberapa lagu Maroon 5, Adam kerap terlihat memamerkan goyangan kaki dan badannya yang tentunya terlihat sangat seksi di mata kaum hawa. Pemandangan serupa diperlihatkannya sepanjang konser Maroon 5 hari kedua di Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

Juri The Voice itu sangat lincah berpindah-pindah dari tengah, ke kiri dan kanan panggung. Di setiap lagu bernada enerjik, dia pasti menggerakkan badannya mulai dari 'Payphone', 'One More Night' hingga 'Moves Like Jagger'. Khusus di lagu 'One More Night', mantan kekasih model Victoria's Secret itu beberapa kali melakukan goyangan dan gerakan yang membuat penonton wanita histeris.

Dalam sebuah wawancara, Adam pernah mengatakan tarian seksi ala Mick Jagger yang dilakukannya di lagu 'Moves Like Jagger' sebenarnya tidak benar-benar bisa dia lakukan. Dia hanya mengikuti musik dan menggerakkan badannya.

"Tarian itu untuk membuat orang melupakan kesadaran dirinya (sejenak) di lantai dansa dan hanya bergoyang, seperti Mick," ujarnya pada koran Daily Star.

Tujuan Adam tersebut sepertinya memang tercapai. Dalam konser yang berlangsung selama hampir dua jam itu, dia sukses membuat ribuan penonton di Istora Senayan melupakan kesadaran dirinya, asyik berjoget dan bernyanyi bersama vokalis 33 tahun itu.

Konser Maroon 5 hari kedua di Jakarta ini tidak jauh berbeda dengan hari pertama, di buka dengan single pertama dari album 'Overexposed', 'Payphone'. Lagu tersebut pastinya langsung disambut koor penonton. Adam Levine, Mickey Madden, James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton yang berpakaian serba putih kemudian melanjutkan dengan lagu 'Makes Me Wonder' yang ada di album kedua mereka 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long'.

Dalam konser tersebut Adam beberapa kali memamerkan kepiawaiannya bermain gitar seperti di lagu 'If I Never See Your Face Again', 'Wale Up Call' dan 'This Love'. Tentu saja dia tidak melupakan teman-teman bandnya dan memperkenalkan mereka satu-persatu usai menyanyikan lagu 'Misery'.

Konser hari kedua di Jakarta ini juga jadi konser yang istimewa untuk gitaris Maroon 5, James Valentine karena dia tengah berulang tahun. Meski Adam sempat mengumumkannya pada penonton, tak ada lanjutan untuk menyanyikan Happy Birthday untuk James. Konser pun dilanjutkan hingga tak terasa hampir dua jam bersama Maroon 5.

Setelah menghilang sesaat, Maroon 5 kembali ke panggung pasca mendengar teriakan penonton 'we want more'. Empat lagu dinyanyikan Adam jelang konser berakhir mulai dari 'Stereo Hearts', 'She Will Be Loved', 'Daylight' hingga 'Moves Like Jagger'. Penonton kembali asyik bergoyang dan nyanyi bareng Maroon 5.
